Selena Gomez recently stunned in a sexy white ensemble for the premiere of her new movie, “The Dead Don’t Die.”
On Tuesday, Gomez joined co-stars Tilda Swinton and Chloë Sevigny on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, which held its opening ceremony at Palais des Festivals. Aside from the actresses, their “The Dead Don’t Die” co-stars Bill Murray, Adam Driver, and Luka Sabbat also walked the red carpet of the film festival, along with Julianne Moore, Elle Fanning and more.
In photos obtained by Daily Mail, the singer-actress looked gorgeous in a white bustier which showed off major cleavage. Gomez paired the top with a matching skirt with a daring slit. The white skirt was cinched in at the waist and featured an oversized silver buckle.
The “13 Reasons Why” producer accessorized with a gorgeous diamond choker, a diamond ring and strappy metallic silver heels. Gomez styled her hair in a sleek bun and added a pop of color to her monochrome outfit with bright red lipstick for her first-ever Cannes red carpet appearance.
At one point, Gomez was seen chatting with and holding Swinton’s hand on the red carpet. She also cozied up to Murray, who pressed a sweet kiss to her cheek. The “Come and Get It” singer also playfully posed for photos, making Murray laugh.
Gomez’s new film is nominated for several awards at Cannes, including the Palme D’Or award, which is the highest accolade presented at the ceremony.
Directed and written by Jim Jarmusch, “The Dead Don’t Die” focuses on the residents of Centerville who will fight for their survival when the dead begin rising and walking again.
“In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviors. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned. But no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle for their survival,” read the film’s synopsis.
“The Dead Don’t Die” is set to hit theaters on June 14 in the United States. Meanwhile, check out Gomez and more stars in the trailer for “The Dead Don’t Die” below!
