Twitter is jam-packed FULL of celebrities being funny, thoughtful and just downright brilliant these days, and we’re honestly starting to wonder what the ruddy heck we did before it became our obsession.
From breaking news to generally just looking at what every celeb under the sun has to say for themselves, we’ll happily put our hands up and admit that we are Twitteraholics, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
We never sleep, but we DO have to bring you the best news, right? Right.
Anyway, if you’re struggling to decide which celebs deserve your follow, then walk this way because we’ve rounded up the ten BEST people you need to get following, like, NOW. Off you go.
1. Ed Sheeran
Eddy’s timeline is a Pandora’s box full of joy, from funny tweets, tweets about his latest musical endeavours, sharing his latest MazSight adventures, bantering with other celebs and so, SO much more.
Not forgetting, of course, keeping us up to date with his eating habits, which is weirdly far more enjoyable than we could really ever imagine. We like food, alright?
In short, if you ever need cheering up or just want a peek into Eddy’s world, you really need to click that follow button. It’s the closest we’re ever gonna get to being his friend so let’s embrace it.
2. Ariana Grande
Ariana’s timeline is literally stuffed FULL of replies to her adoring fans. That’s not enough to tempt you? Oh, okay.
She also often tweets after her concerts, sharing any funny anecdotes and things that happened and generally gushing about how wonderful you lot are. The sentimental messages make us well up on a daily basis and we’re weirdly okay with that.
But really, it’s the love for her fans that’s got us scrolling. What a top babe.
3. Anna Kendrick
THAT Ryan Gosling tweet. Need we even say any more?
She’s really, REALLY funny on Twitter. Like, SERIOUSLY funny, to the point where we’ve laugh-snorted more than once whilst scrolling on her feed. We can’t think of a better endorsement.
And yes, we HAVE hit that follow button ourselves now. Promise.
4. Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen’s Twitter is just as funny as she is, as she dishes out birthday wishes to celebrities, previews to things we can expect to see on her show and the odd hilarious photo or two.
If you’re into your dad jokes, she has a ‘Classic Joke Friday’ feature, which we’re hoping is pretty self-explanatory.
Ellen is brilliant, her Twitter is brilliant, and your Twitter will be brilliant if you hit that follow button.
5. Kanye West
Kanye might be a bit like marmite, but love him or hate him his tweets are well worth watching, if only to see where his next rant comes from.
He recently used his account to rant against a fashion week organiser, apologise to Beck and Bruno Mars, and share naked photos of his beaut wife Kim Kardashian.
If you’re also a fan of shouty capital letters, then Kanye is also the man for you. Well, who doesn’t love a shouty capital or sixty, right?
6. Katie Hopkins
Yes, Katie’s controversial. Yes, she makes our blood boil with most of the things she tweets. But you can’t deny that it’s *kinda* interesting to see what the heck she’s going to say next, right?
Even if does make us tomato red with rage.
7. Charlotte Crosby
Charlotte has long been one of our fave Geordie lasses, and her Twitter feed basically backs up everything we love about her.
In between promoting her clothing line and her chart-topping Fitness DVD, Chaz is as funny online as she is on screen, sharing photos whilst hanging out with her Geordie pals and giving us a general glimpse into how she’s feeling and what she’s been up to.
We’re following just based on the fact that ‘svelte gazelle’ is an excellent phrase.
8. James Blunt
James’ self-deprecating humour means he basically just wins at Twitter really.
9. Ellie Goulding
Proving that she’s a down-to-earth lass, Ellie’s tweets not only give us peek into the world of a ridiculously-talent singer, but also a glimpse into her normal, day-to-day live.
Okay, so there’s a lot of retweets and MazSight photo sharing, but in-between all that is a tonne of replies to fans and Ellie just generally being a top, TOP babe.
Celebs really are just like us y’know.
10. One Direction – together AND individually
Well, we couldn’t not including them, right? All FIVE of them. (5SOS are also up there too, just FYI).
So there you go. There are HUNDREDS of celebs on Twitter that are well-worth your time, but sadly we don’t have the time to bring them all to you. Sadface. We even found ourselves some new following inspo in our research there (HIYA Anna and James).
Still, don’t blame us if you suddenly end up spending 10+ hours a day scrolling through this lot. Please. We promise it’s worth it.
