Adele, One Direction And Ed Sheeran Top The Sunday Times’ Rich List Of Musicians Under 30

Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the richest musician (under the age of 30) of them all? Over to The Sunday Times and their list that makes us more jealous than watching someone eating brownie when we’re on a diet. The struggle is real.

The paper has released its annual list of musicians under the age of 30 who can afford more than tap water in Starbucks and in some totally shocking news, Adele, One Direction and Ed Sheeran have all hit the top spots.

Even though Adele has released precisely zero new songs/albums/single notes in the past year. Go on, girl.

Yep, it’s that time of year when we start to feel really sorry for ourselves and that measley £2.20 we have in our pockets by perusing how much dollar the richest musicians have. Because that’s guaranteed to cheer us up, of course.

Despite being MIA for the past year, Adele has added £5m to her wealth, making her the angel on top of this very rich Christmas tree.

One Direction INCLUDING Zayn Malik are sitting more than a little pretty in the number two spot, while Ed Sheeran is right behind them in third.

Sam Smith is the only new entry on the list, flying into the number 14 spot. Bravo, Samuel.

Errr, drinks on you lot then, yeah? Smashing.

The paper also released the list of the top 40 music millionaires in Britain and Ireland, with Sir Paul McCartney continuing his reign at the top after expanding his wealth by a casual £20m this past year, bringing his total wealth (combined with Nancy Shevell) to £730m.

NO BIG DEAL.

The list is jam-packed full of legends, with Lord Lloyd-Webber and U2 nabbing second and third place respectively.

Enya and Kylie Minogue are the only two female performers on the list (hmph), while Calvin Harris is this year’s only new entry at number 30.
