If you were hoping to bag yourself a groom in the shape of Wimbledon champion Andy Murray then we are afraid to say that you are simply too late – the Scottish pro tied the know with the love of his life, Kim Sears, in a glorious ceremony yesterday.
We mean, the sun was shining by the end of it and everything – it doesn’t get much better than that over here.
The lovebirds have been dating for a whopping ten years, and decided to get hitched in an intimate ceremony at Dunblane Cathedral in Andy’s Scottish hometown, with the star sticking to traditional attire as he donned a kilt for the big day.
Sadly, we are yet to discover if he went, ahem, ‘fully traditional’, underneath if ya know what we mean…
Meanwhile, Kim was positively glowing as she stepped out in a bespoke ivory gown by Jenny Packham, embellished with Swarovski crystals and completed by a three-metre silk tulle veil and floral headdress.
The couple were joined by their family and close friends for a small reception at Cromlix House, and although they decided against a fancy, celeb-riddled ‘do, hundreds of fans joined the world’s media as they lined the streets in the hope of catching a glimpse of the new Mr. and Mrs. Murray.
N’aww, it’s like the royal Wedding all over again, ain’t it?
Andy’s mother, Judy Murray, was obviously super excited by the day and was spotted encouraging the well-wishers to cheer on Andy and his brother, Jamie, when they arrived at the Cathedral.
massive congrats to Andy and Kim, although we’re still a little bit gutted that our invite got lost in the post…
