We’re eight tasks into this year’s Apprentice, (time flies when you’re having fun, right?), and quite frankly I will be shocked if Roisin doesn’t make the final.
Every episode has shown her in a positive light. She can sell, has lots of energy and ideas, and remains one of the most professional candidates that the show has ever seen.
That said, I was surprised when bozo James brought her back into the boardroom last night.
I was even more shocked when Lord Sugar questioned her contributions to the process, when all I’ve seen for the past seven weeks is ‘The Roisin Show’.
It made me start to doubt Roisin’s business acumen. The Apprentice edit is a curious one, as people who only make a few contributions can come across well.
They’re frustrating to work with on a fast-paced task, but – when those three days are condensed into half an hour and include irrelevant candidate’s sole moment of genius – the public take them into their hearts.
Maybe Roisin is one of those. Although, with her getting such a send-up from producers, I’m confident that she’s a shoe-in for the final.
In terms of who will join her, probably Solomon or Mark, with Katie making it to the final five.
It’s a little bit scary that me either Bianca, Felipe, Daniel or Sanjay will also make it that far, and it just goes to show how bad this year’s candidates are.
Actually that’s not scary, it’s terrifying.
Anyway, I’m glad James has finally faded back into the obscurity from which he came, although it’s a shame that Lord Sugar (or LAS, as production schedules call him) has used up all his double firings and didn’t send Sanjay home as well.
They were both useless, and both have zero chance of winning… But c’est la vie.
I am finally starting to enjoy this year’s series and look forward to watching my predictions come true in the coming weeks.
