Six years ago, they wed in secret.
But now, Jay-Z and Beyonce have finally decided to give fans a look at the happiest day of their lives during the opening night of their ‘On The Run’ tour.
The happily married couple played video footage taken from their Wedding on the big screens in front of an elated audience last night in Miami.
Despite shrouding the wedding in secret back in 2008, it would seem the couple have now had a change of heart.
In fact, it took Beyonce six months after the wedding to even talk about her nuptials to Jay.
She previously said: “What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real.
“We’ve been together a long time. We always knew it would happen.”
The power couple of course put on quite the show last night, with Beyonce donning a collection of eye popping outfits throughout the set.
It was reported last week, however, that the much hyped On The Run tour is far from sold out.
Gig sales company Ticketmaster revealed that ‘tens of thousands’ of tickets were still available for last night’s Miami leg, as well as for Atlanta on July 15 and the July 12 show in New Jersey.
Perhaps the promise of seeing the intimate moments of Jay and Bey’s big day will change all of that…
Earlier this year, fans were shocked when footage of Beyonce’s sister Solange attacking Jay-Z in a lift at the Met Gala was leaked, leading to speculation that the rapper had been unfaithful.
According to Radar Online, the incident and subsequent rumours that the happy couple aren’t so happy has had an effect on the public’s perception of their seemingly perfect marriage.
A source said: “The public has been left with a sour taste in their mouth because of the elevator fight and all the information that leaked about Jay and B’s relationship afterward.
“To the public, Beyonce and Jay Z appear to have it all. But behind close doors, they’re not as happy as people think they are.”
