Blake Lively, actress turned lifestyle guru, has come over all romantic and made a batch of Valentine’s Day cookies.
Delicious…is not a word we used when we saw what she had come up with.
The 27-year-old proudly showed off her shabby looking ‘treats’ designed to give to female friends, based on the classic Love Hearts sweets. Except instead of reading ‘I’m Yours’ or ‘Be Mine,’ Blake opted for the less than amorous ‘B**ch, please’ amongst other unconventional messages.
But don’t worry, Blake is of course being sarcastic and knwoing as she explains on her Preserve blog: “They’re meant to be ironic.
“They’re the sassy version of conversation hearts. But they don’t turn into chalk dust in your mouth. We’re obsessed.”
The intricate piping on each of the cookies is inspired by lyrics from Blake’s ‘favourite femme power ballads,’ including Taylor Swift and Beyonce – all of which appear on the accompanying ‘modern Romance’ playlist provided.
Blake also suggests that the cookies should be displayed ‘as conversation pieces, on the High Tea for Alice stands,’ which is something we would absolutely do if we knew what that meant.
HAPPY VALENTINES, B**CHES!
