Brit Awards 2015: Who Is James Bay, Critic’s Choice Winner? Hint: Louis Tomlinson LOVES Him

2015 is definitely going to be James Bay’s year; not only does he have the highest cheekbones in the world and ruddy excellent taste in hats, he was recently unveiled as the Critic’s Choice Brit Awards winner for this year.

Not too shabby, eh?

Still, we don’t really know all that much about the former street busker, so we thought that we would do a little digging and tell you all about him.

1. He’s worked His Way Up

He is only 23-years-old but James managed to make a name for himself after busking in the street and monthly stints at Notting Hill Arts Club in London. From there, he nabbed himself supporting slots for the likes of Tom Odell, John Newman, and Kodaline.

Pretty impressive stuff, we have to say.

2. He Is Supporting Taylor Swift

Yep, James is well and truly on the up and TayTay was quick to secure him to warm up her crowd on the european leg of her 1989 World tour. WOWZER.

Considering this is a spot that none other than actual Ed Sheeran fulfilled in previous tours, this is a seriously big deal.

3. Louis Tomlinson Of One Direction Bloomin’ Loves Him

Louis and Taylor might not always see eye-to-eye, but one thing that they definitely agree on is that James Bay is more than a little bit fantastic.

Sticking to his love of discovering up and coming talent (HEY 5SOS), borderline-hipster Lou introduced his 1D bandmates to the singer-songwriters music, and now they can’t get enough of him either.

Hurrah!

4. He Gives A Brilliant performance

James Bay pulls out all the stop’s when it comes to giving the fans what they want, as proven with these videos of his newest live sessions.

Showing his retro side, ‘Scars’ was filmed on old-school VHS equipment:

And ‘Let It Go’ is in full, HD:

Both equally amaze, we think you’ll all agree.
