At the BRITs winners conference last night Brian told us: "Adam Lambert is a phenomenal talent and the sounds is amazing at Sonisphere.

"Freddie would approve of what we're doing.

"We hope to reach the greatness of Freddie's last gig there. It's a challenge but then again that's life."

Adam has already smashed the charts in the States clocking up a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal performance and by the looks of things he's going to make waves on the UK scene too.

We spoke to the star when he was in London recently and he told us he was thrilled to be in our capital.

He said; "I can't believe I'm here, I didn't expect this to happen!

"One minute I'm auditioning for American Idol and now I'm here in London chatting to you."
