BRITs 2015: Madonna Dramatically Falls To The Floor After Failing To Release Cape During Live Performance

Madonna’s highly anticipated BRITs 2015 performance took a dramatic turn on Wednesday night when she fell to the floor thanks to a wardrobe malfunction.

And when we say fell, we mean came crashing down.

The 56-year-old failed to untie her cape in time, meaning that when her dancers pulled it away, she came with it – and down a flight of stairs to boot.

However, with Madonna being the pro we all know her to be, she simply brushed herself off and carried on performing.

And that is why she’s been in the business for over thirty years, people.

Madge was performing her comeback single ‘Living For Love,’ which ironically includes the lyrics: “Took me to heaven and let me fall down/Now that it’s over/I’m gonna carry on.”

Good to see she lives by words.

The iconic singer seemed to be mostly unscathed by the fall with star studded audience exploding into rapturous applause at the end of the number.

Madonna’s single was recently surrounded by controversy after Radio One decided not to playlist it, reportedly due to her not being deemed ‘relevant’ enough.

The insider told The Mail on Sunday: “At the end of the day it’s all about relevance. It’s natural that as an artist gets older their audience goes elsewhere and Radio 1 has to reflect that.

“The station has a duty to meet the needs of younger listeners. I don’t think the audience is losing sleep that it is not playing Madonna in the same way that it used to.”

Considering it’s currently at number two on the iTunes chart, we don’t think Madge has anything to worry about.
