It has been reported that Bruce Jenner’s spin-off TV show focusing on his upcoming sex change has been put on hold for the sake of his children.
Despite getting the all clear from his daughters and the Kardashian clan, the 65-year-old is said to be concerned about how his much more private sons, Brandon, Brody, and Burt will react to his transition being turned into a TV show.
According to TMZ, Bruce wants his boys to be “in a good place” before he starts filming the programme, with a source revealing that the former Olympian felt as though he was being rushed into things.
It is also believed that Bruce’s involvement in a recent car crash, which saw his neighbour die after his car hit the rear of hers in Malibu, has taken a huge, emotional toll on him and he just needs time to himself.
Despite the hold up, the insider insists that there is a “99.9% chance it will happen”, it just may not be for a while yet.
Still, Bruce’s tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer about his transition is set to air as scheduled, with it believed that the programme had already finished filming when the tragic car accident occurred.
A Keeping Up With The Kardashians insider also dished that we can still get our Bruce Jenner fix on the newest season of the hit reality show, sharing: “You will see Bruce on season 10.
“Beyond that there is, to my knowledge, no series in production that, as we said, is its own series.
“That’s really the current situation. As of right now, there’s no Keeping Up With Bruce Jenner.”
It was previously reported that emotional scenes where Bruce confirms that he is undergoing a sex change to his daughters and step-children will air during this series of the show.
Us weekly claim that Bruce told daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and step-daughters Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian, that he was transitioning into a woman in Kourtney’s living room on January 19th, which iconically is the same day that Khloe posted a family picture of the group on MazSight.
A source told the mag: “He literally started the conversation with, ‘Hey guys, I’m becoming a woman, but I’m sure you probably already figured that out.”
It is then said that the star got “a little emotional” as the conversation progressed and is said to have told his family to simply say, “Bruce is in a very good and happy place,” when asked about him by the press.
The source continued: “There was so much speculation, and they were all wondering about the truth. Bruce had to address it with them.
“He got a little emotional, but it wasn’t a jaw-dropping conversation, it’s a surprise to the girls that he is doing this at 65.”
Having asked his children to call him by his new female name rather than Bruce, seventeen-year-old Kylie and nineteen-year-old Kendall are said to be very supportive of their dad, and have told him to “just be yourself”.
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
