Cara Delevingne Opens Up About Mum’s HEROIN Addiction And Finding Love With New Girlfriend, St Vincent

It’s quite probable that Cara Delevingne is having the time of her life right now. Not only does she have brows seemingly sculpted into shape by the gods themselves, but she’s also an actress, singer, best pals with Taylor Swift and Rihanna ON TOP of being an actual slammin’ hottie.

But did you know that things weren’t exactly all a bed of roses for our Cara? Yes, she might have had a pretty fancy upbringing, but as a girl she had to cope with her mum’s addiction to heroin, of all things.

Which, we can imagine, must be a pretty tough thing to deal with.

She opened up about it all whilst speaking to those fashion superfans at Vogue magazine this month, telling them that the experience of living with an addict made her ‘grow up too quickly’.

“It shapes the childhood of every kid whose parent has an addiction. You grow up too quickly because you’re parenting your parents.”

Despite the pressures it brought though, Cara remains close to her mum and PROPERLY loves her, which is very heart-warming and that, isn’t it?

“My mother’s an amazingly strong person with a huge heart, and I adore her. But it’s not something you get better from, I don’t think. I know there are people who have stopped and are fine now, but not in my circumstance. She’s still struggling.”

The supermodel also spoke for the first time about how she was very much loved-up with her new girlfriend, the trendy singer St Vincent, and said that she was ‘so happy’ as a result of the blossoming relationship.

“I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”

The 22-year-old also revealed how even though she struggled a lot with her sexuality as a youngster, she’s now fully embracing it – but still having a few naughty dreams about the fellas.

Just don’t tell your girlfriend that, maybe?

“It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognised that I had to accept it. Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall.”

“But I have erotic dreams only about men. I had one two nights ago where I went up to a guy in the back of a VW minivan, with a bunch of his friends around him, and pretty much jumped him.”

“The thing is, if I ever found a guy I could fall in love with, I’d want to marry him and have his children. And that scares me to death because I think I’m a whole bunch of crazy, and I always worry that a guy will walk away once he really, truly knows me.”

Errr, we’d totally help you out in the offspring department Cara – so don’t sweat it, yeah?
