Carly Rae Jepsen is back with a new song, people. And it’s rather good.
Correction: It’s incredible.
Nearly three years have passed since the 29-year-old infected our earholes/ effectively took over the world with ‘Call Me Maybe,’ and now she’s back with new track ‘I Really Like You’.
And somehow, it’s even catchier than her debut.
Carly took to Twitter to unveil the song today, with US fans able to download the track from today while us poor UK lot have to wait until June 14.
Justin Bieber was also quick to promote the track, after championing her back in 2011.
Earlier this week, Carly also shared a screenshot of the yet to be released accompanying video – which stars none other than Tom Hanks.
Jepsen’s manager, Scooter Braun, teased back in January that her comeback track would be of the same high standard as ‘Call Me Maybe’.
He told Billboard: “I told her that she couldn’t come out with anything unless it was on the level of ‘Call Me Maybe.’
“And, now we have a new one that is on that level.”
Well, we can’t argue with that!
