Celebrity Big Brother 2015 has officially BEGUN, as celebrities including Katie Hopkins, Patsy Kensit, Perez Hilton and Alicia Douvall finally entered the Twisted Fairytale-themed house last night.
WOOP WOOP! Of course, it wouldn’t be CBB without some form of dreaded twist, and last night Katie fell victim to the show’s wicked ways, as she was immediately whisked behind an enchanted mirror and told to play the ‘wicked witch,’ casting judgement on every celebrity that entered the house.
Shouldn’t be too hard for her, should it?
Katie, 39, predictably entered the house to rapturous applause booing, after saying on her introductory video: ““I like to think I provoke national debate. I am not a panto villain. I’m happy to be unpopular.
“I don’t like fat people, I’m not fond of gingers and I think the unemployed are lazy.”
SHE JUST TELLS IT LIKE IT IS, ALRIGHT?!
As well as being tasked with, erm, being pretty much herself (okay good), the loudmouth also faced a pretty tough decision as she was asked to pick the two most boring housemates (in her opinion, anyway) to face the first eviction.
We say pretty tough, but for Katie it was probably a walk in the park.
She eventually decided that singer Alexander O’Neal and Chloe Goodman had entertained her the least, and put them up for the chopping block.
HOWEVER, things then took a turn for the worst for the rent-a-gob as Big Brother ordered her to be kind and sweet to her fellow housemates. OH THIS SHOULD BE GOOD.
They told her: “You will be cursed with kindness. Whenever you open your mouth in the house you will be sweetness and light.”
Let’s just say she wasn’t *too* impressed with the idea, immediately telling the show: “If you think I will be nice to that bunch of idiots, you have another thing coming.
“Why am I surrounded by a host of Americans, this show is British.”
Errr, guessing she won’t be fulfilling the task of being the first to console those getting evicted then?
Aside from watching Katie do her thing, we obviously saw a bunch of other celebs enter the house, including Patsy Kensit who, in her VT, admitted that she’d “done some pretty sh*t films,” and Perez Hilton, who basically just name-dropped the world and his wife as he introduced himself. Needless to say, Katie WASN’T impressed!
Oh, and just to warn the other housemates, Patsy admitted: “The problem is I fart a lot. I do have flatulence problems. The smell is so bad!” Well, at least she’s honest!
Actor Ken Morley looked like he’d been let out of a home, according to Katie, entering the house just before tattoo model Cami Li, who is NOT on good terms with ex Kirk Norcross after describing their relationship as a “whirlwind f****** nightmare.”
Calum Best seemed to have gained some sort of strange American accent as he introduced himself (no, we don’t know either), before being joined in the house by supposed ex Alicia Douvall (after an awks conversation with Emma Willis), although she denies they ever kissed.
Alexander was next to make his grand entrance, already becoming on of our faves by referring to himself in the third person. Brilliant.
Nadia Sawalha gave probably our favourite reason EVER for entering the house, admitting that all she really wants is a new kitchen extension, which we LOVE her for. Honesty is the best policy, Nadia!
Former Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson seemed to have got dressed in the dark, rocking up in a camo top and red shorts, after describing himself as a “total utter f***-up,” before nineties eye candy Kavana arrrived, telling crowds: “My attitude to life is ‘f*** ‘em all’.
Ru Paul judge Michelle Visage was next, followed closely by model Chloe Goodman, revealing that she won’t be having sex in the house because it’s like “free porno.”
Last in was the legend that is Keith Chegwin, who’s probably come armed with a list of jokes as long as his arm.
It’s day one in the CBB house and we can already tell we’re going to be addicted to this series.
We’re not even sorry.
