Celebrity Big Brother 2015 might not start for another couple of days, but rumoured housemate Katie Hopkins is already causing headaches as bosses bring in special measures to make sure she doesn’t take her infamously brutal comments too far.
In fact, bosses are SO worried about what might come out of Katie’s mouth that they’re bringing in a special legal team to help.
Katie isn’t exactly known for being a shy and retiring flower, and whilst bosses are hoping that this will prove to be a hit with viewers, they’re also concerned that the loudmouth might overstep the mark.
They’ve got a point, to be honest.
The rent-a-gob was offered over £400,000 to appear on the show (WOWSERS), but now bosses have brought in a special legal team to ensure we don’t have a repeat of Big Brother 2004, which saw the police brought in thanks to an almighty brawl.
A show insider told The Daily Star: “Katie is sure to be a hit with Big Brother fans on the show.
“But she’s also made a name for herself by crossing the line with some of her rants and BB bosses want to make sure she doesn’t go too far.”
Good luck with that, everyone.
Bosses are probably particularly keen to keep Katie and her mouth under control after her recent controversial Ebola tweets landed her in trouble with police.
The resident loudmouth didn’t hold back when it came to discussing the news that a Scottish nurse was being treated for the horrific disease, causing many Twitter users to report the TV personality to the authorities.
The outspoken 39-year-old recently caused uproar when she tweeted some pretty offensive commments surrounding the deadly Ebola virus, writing: “Sending us Ebola bombs in the form of sweaty Glaswegians just isn’t cricket.”
This came after it was reported that a Scottish nurse was being treated after spending time in Sierra Leone volunteering for Save The Children.
Twitter users were quick to report Katie for her comments, since offensive tweets and trolling is, thankfully, taken extremely seriously these days, the police have been quick to respond, announcing that they are indeed investigating the situation.
Det Insp Glyn Roberts, of Police Scotland, said: “We have received a number of complaints regarding remarks made on Twitter.
“Inquiries are ongoing into the nature of these tweets and to establish any potential criminality.
“Police Scotland will thoroughly investigate any reports of offensive or criminal behaviour online and anyone found to be responsible will be robustly dealt with.”
Yikes. Fingers crossed Katie won’t start world War 3 in the CBB house!
