After it was revealed the Ken Morley was kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother 2015 house yesterday (and not a day too soon thank you very much), we were intrigued as to what offensive, disgusting and unacceptable language had finally led to his eviction.
And surprise surprise, it all boiled down to the former Coronation Street actor using MORE racist slurs in a discussion about Frank Bruno, as well as his continuing degrading sexist language as he talked about women.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Ken.
During last night’s show, viewers saw the 71-year-old involved in more altercations with other housemates and despite his previous formal warning, use the word ‘n*gro’ in a discussion about Frank Bruno.
Ken was talking to Keith Chegwin about the boxing legend’s tendency to play his music loud in his dressing room when he made the comments.
He explained that he use to shout at Ken, saying: “Hello, Lord Fauntleroy here — turn down your n*gro rhythms.”
Ken had already received a warning after he called Alexander O’Neal the offensive word in a heated debate.
The actor was immediately called to the diary room after his latest comments and told to leave the house.
Big Brother explained: “Today in a conversation with Keith you again used unacceptable language regarding race.
“You have also made offensive remarks about nationality and descent in a conversation with Patsy and have continued to make offensive comments towards women. Big Brother is left with no other option but to remove you from the house.”
Earlier in the day, Ken had been involved in a row with Patsy Kensit as he referred to her an an “east end scrubber,” adding: “one thing that a woman likes is a good flogging.”
After continuing on to say her upbringing in both Ireland and London’s Bethan Green was a “double curse,” Patsy was, quite rightly, not happy, hitting back at his unacceptable comments by saying: “I’m here, man. I train sometimes with a punch bag…you’re a d***…I’m meditating. F*** off.”
As if that wasn’t enough controversy for one day, Ken also spent the day making MORE sexist comments as Nadia Sawalha asked him about his disgusting behaviour.
He said: “They’ve got the best looking bodies. they’ve got the best looking a***s – what is wrong with a man looking?”
Nadia was NOT happy with his response, and commented that she thought that police needed to get involved.
Oh, and he also hinted that he believes Chloe Goodman was “slightly naive” in the Jeremy Jackson incident.
He explained: “You’re a single girl, you’re 21, you go into a room with a person you only know slightly wearing only a robe. I think that’s dodgy.”
Unsurprisingly, viewers were over the moon that they didn’t have to watch Ken’s lewd and totally unacceptable behaviour anymore, with fans of the show like Phillip Schofield writing: “No surprise there, his true personality was never going to remain hidden for long.”
Ofcom also received 233 complaints for his behaviour.
Ken’s son Roger actually apologised for his dad’s behaviour, writing: “I would like to apologise to anyone who may have been offended by my dad’s behaviour tonight.”
Well done, Roger. Although we think it’s actually Ken himself who needs to apologise for all the offensive he’s caused.
We’re just glad to see the back of him. ADIOS!
