She’s massive on both sides of the Atlantic.
But Cher Lloyd has admitted that her success in America and her recent change in direction is all down to her husband Craig Monk.
The former X Factor star, who’s COMPLETELY changed things up with her new single Sirens, has credited her other half with her complete ‘transformation’… we need to bag US such an amazing hubbie!
She told us: “Married life is great. He is so great at balancing me and really making me focus on what’s right and not doing the wrong thing. He is just really great at doing that.
“If it wasn’t for me meeting him, I’m not sure that America would have worked out for me. I definitely think that. I think he’s influenced the change in me a lot, for the better.
And despite still only being 20, Cher is all about planning for the future and it seems like the pair have already discussed having babies.
She said: “I think that when the time’s right, the time’s right and we would definitely love to. That’s something that we both really look forward to doing.
“That’s one of the reasons why we work so hard – I want to be able to raise children in the best possible way that I can. Looking at the way that my mum and my dad raised me, they did fantastically with so little. So, to know that one day I can do that but maybe have a few more resources is am absolute dream.”
But the loved up couple aren’t there quite yet…they’re REALLY struggling with their nomadic lifestyle as Cher still doesn’t have a permanent home.
She told us: “We’re living out of suitcases. We’ve lived in hotels for around two years now. We’re very fortunate to be so young and have the opportunity to travel so much but it can get stressful.
“You’re living out of a suitcase, you know, you have basic stuff – it’s not easy. I have no base at all. All hotels.
“We definitely would like to find somewhere quite soon because we’ve kind of got to the point now where it’s difficult to manage life without having a home.
She added: “It’s been very difficult. It’s just the little things – being able to actually wash your clothes and not trying to frantically find a launderette to do your washing. Its’ stressful. Those are little things that really affect your life.”
But the Malvern-born star might not be starting her new family life in the UK – so don’t get your hopes up guys!
She told us: “I am possibly going to live where I’m the most busy – so it might be LA. I think my fans are 100 per cent supportive. They’ve been around this long, no one should feel upset about it, I’m doing it for my career.”
Being essentially homeless sure as heck hasn’t stopped Cher from working on her brand new album, which is due out later this month.
The pop star said: “It’s much more mature – it’s a completely different sound for me. I feel like, for the UK, because there’s been no music for quiet some time, people haven’t seen this transformation with me. So it’s been quite a shock to people.
“I feel much better about it because I know that it’s all me. And it’s something that I can be very proud of. I really do feel like I’ve made a massive step because I never would have dreamed about writing the stuff that I have written for this record three years ago – I just wouldn’t have been brave enough to do it.”
And if Cher bags herself a number one how will she be celebrating?
“I’m not a party animal, you don’t really see me out and about, do you? A piece of cake maybe!”
She’s still a girl after our own hearts!
