Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has thrown some serious shade at Nadine Coyle.
It’s long been known the two are not exactly the best of friends, but now X Factor judge Cheryl has claimed Nadine is “full of s**t” when she said she didn’t want Girls Aloud to split.
The group went on hiatus in 2009 before returning for a tour and greatest hits album in 2012, splitting straight afterwards, and Nadine claimed at the time she had “no part” in the decision.
However, Cheryl has now denied that, saying: “She’s full of s**t. What do you want us to say? She’s full of s**t. She was the one who wanted to make a solo record. Which is why we took the hiatus.”
(An aside, Cheryl actually released her solo debut Three Words a full year before Nadine released dud album Insatiable.)
She added to Attitude: “She wants to come out and say we broke the band up. No! She shouldn’t tell porkie pies. She should remember why we took the hiatus after seven years so she could go and…”
And it doesn’t end their, with 31-year-old Cheryl – who was in the band alongside Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Nadine – claiming Girls Aloud felt they were “held to ransom” over Nadine’s decisions.
She said: “Okay, so do you want us to tell the truth? She wasn’t going to make another Girls Aloud record until she got a solo deal. I feel she held us to ransom and then made her solo record deal. It’s the truth! She’s saying that we broke the band up. So there you go.”
FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!
Kimberley, have anything to say? Nicola, want to add something? Girls, PLEASE tell us some more goss!
