Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is heading to Cannes to be a L’Oreal ambassador in May, but it sounds like her trip is set to have more va va voom and de l’amour than she thought – and it’s all thanks to her romantic husband Jean-Bernard.
According to reports, J-B is lining up a road trip around France’s vineyards in the Loire Valley during her trip, as well as showing her some of France’s other best hotspots.
OOH LA LA. OUI OUI. JE T’AIME.
The Mirror reports that the gorgeous couple will visit some of Jean-Bernard’s fave places, including France’s answer to the Grand Canyon (the Gorges du Verdon), The Palais des Papes (The Pope’s Palace) and the village of Saint Guilhem-le-Desert, which is a world Heritage site.
Fancy. Or fantaisie, to use the proper French word. We think.
A source close to the couple told The Mirror: “Cheryl loves visiting France, and when she goes to Cannes this will be her last break before all the X Factor madness kicks off.
“JB wants to show her his country and has been planning this trip for a while. He is going to take her to some of the most beautiful places in France, away from the uber touristy sites of paris.
“Cheryl is really keen to explore the vineyards and chateaux. They are going to drink their way around the country. It’s going to be a proper road trip.”
Err, can we tag along please? This is seriously the kind of holiday we’d like right now.
The source added: “They are really in love and want quality time together before all the madness begins.
“JB is really proud of where he comes from and he wants to show Cheryl, the love of his life, exactly where he is from.”
The couple stepped out as, er, a couple at Cannes Film Festival last year, where JB was running Cosy Box, a pop-up bar.
Chezza, 31, has got a busy year ahead of her, with reports claiming Simon Cowell is keen to keep her on The X Factor judging panel ‘at all costs’.
A source told The Sun: “They haven’t signed a deal yet but Simon, Cheryl and ITV are all on the same page.”
However, it’s not such good news for Mel B and Louis ‘Permanent Fixture’ Walsh, who are still on the “at risk” list.
The source added: “But that’s really bad news for Mel. She had a good first year but bosses want a new line-up.”
Considering it’s only April, we reckon we’re in for at least a dozen more rumours about who is and isn’t rejoining the panel. If someone could just wake us up when it’s all over, that would be great.
Enjoy your hols, Chezza and JB, and maybe bring us back a bottle of wine, please? THANKS.
