Chris Brown has denied allegations that he attacked a man during a basketball game at Palms Casino Resort early on Monday morning.
According to TMZ, Chris has been named as a suspect for battery after it was claimed that he punched a man following a basketball game argument.
A member of Chris’ entourage also allegedly punched the man after he tried to defend himself.
The game was reportedly being played in the hotel’s Hardwood Suite, where the 25-year-old was staying, at around 3.42am.
Police apparently reported to the scene, but have not spoken to Chris.
The victim was treated for his injuries at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Centre, and was later released after speaking to the Las Vegas Metropolitan police.
In a news release, police said: “A verbal altercation on the court led to a physical fight and the victim was punched by another male subject who was later identified as 25-year-old recording artist Chris Brown.”
Chris has apparently been given the choice of either signing a citation for misdemeanor battery or having the case submitted to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, who would decide whether or not to press charges.
However, Chris has denied being involved in the altercation.
His publicist Nicole Perna said in a statement: “Chris is currently in Las Vegas as he is performing at Drai’s on May 5th and receiving a Key to the Strip that day as well.
“He has a suite at the hotel that has a basketball court and invited friends to come play. An unruly individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises.
“Chris was not in an altercation with this person.”
In March, the rapper was released from probation for his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.
