Chris Brown is reportedly caught in a ‘child support battle’ with daughter Royalty’s mumma Nia Guzman, who claims he stopped paying her $2,500 a month in March.
According to TMZ, the singer was paying Nia up until March, when she asked him to increase payments to six times as much as usual, meaning he’d have to pay her $15,000 a month.
The site reports that he stopped paying altogether, because he thought the amount she wanted was “ridiculous.”
It’s now claimed the the former model’s lawyer Carl Moore is planning to file legal documents demanding that the 26-year-old pay back the money he’s missed.
News that Chris is the father to Nia’s little one broke in March, with a source telling TMZ that he is on “very good terms” with his child’s mother and has known her for several years but they are not together.
It was also reported that he felt “happy” to be a dad, with other sites claiming that there is not an official child support order in place between Chris and Nia.
Karrueche Tran, Chris’ girlfriend at the time, later took to Twitter to dump the singer after finding out his news on the internet, according to a source for E! News.
She tweeted: “”Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.
