Just a week after welcoming his new daughter, Ella, into the world with girlfriend Jacqueline Jossa, Dan Osborne was hit with a whole load of historic domestic abuse accusations from his ex, Megan Tomlin.
A week after that, a recording of the TOWIE star seemingly threatening to stab Megan was leaked to the press and then passed onto police, although officials have now confirmed that they will be taking no further action against the 23-year-old, who they questioned.
Since it all came to light, Megan has been hit with jibes from fans of Dan and Jacqueline, accusing the primary school teacher of being “jealous” and “bitter”, even suggesting that she was making up the claims in a bid to ruin her ex-boyfriend’s current relationship, but Megan has now come forward to insist that this isn’t true.
Speaking to The Mirror, Megan said: “No, I’m not trying to destroy their relationship. In the past eighteen months, a lot of what’s been written has been based on fact.
“I’m not jealous and trying to split them up – I was the one who ended the relationship! I was happy telling him to go off and do what he’s got to do.
“A part of me feels like I have been pushed backwards and forwards, I don’t care what people think. It’s only now I’ve been in this situation I’ve seen how easy it is to be judgemental of others and their situations. Likewise, people have done the same to me.”
The 22-year-old added that her only priority is her and Dan’s fourteen-month-old son together, sharing: “Dan adores Teddy, I know that, but it’s not a situation I ever intended to ever be in.
“My main concern is my son and his happiness.”
Neither Jacqueline or Dan have publicly commented on the entire incident, but the ITV have confirmed that the star has been suspended from the hit reality show whilst they investigate the claims.
