So, remember that controversial ‘comedian’ (we’ll use that lightly) Dapper Laughs who ended up getting his ITV show and tour cancelled after making horrendous ‘jokes’ (again, not really) about rape?
Well, have we got some fantastic news for you, because it looks like we could be seeing his face on our TV screens once again, with reports claiming he’s in talks to appear on this summer’s Celebrity Big Brother.
We can see this ending really well already. OR NOT.
If the reports are true, Channel 5′s ‘celebrity’ recruit is sure to cause more of a stir than an electric whisk thanks to his past.
And by that, we mean the fact that Dapper (not so many) Laughs, AKA Daniel O’Reilly, was axed by ITV2 after more than 68,000 people signed a petition to get the ‘lad’ booted off their TV screens following his offensive sexual assault comments.
The whole drama effectively slayed his career without him having to say ‘it’s over’, but he did later appear on Newsnight to apologise and ‘officially kill off’ his comedy alter ego.
However, having apparently attempted to bring it back in a sitcom pilot, which was shared on his YouTube page, it’s claimed he’s going to try and properly relaunch his career on the reality show.
A source told The Sun: “Daniel has held talks with bosses about joining Big Brother in the summer.
“Producers think he would be a big character and it would be good for him to reveal his true self after all the controversy.”
Yeah, because CBB is SUCH a tame show, where no controversy ever takes place. Of course, how could we forget?
Dapper Laugh’s On The Pull show was cancelled after he was caught denying that it was a rape guide on camera.
He allegedly said: “If it was a guide to rape, I would have done one five-minute episode, I’d come on and go, ‘Oi oi, I’m Dapper Laughs, go down the shops, get some rope, bit of duct tape, rape the bitch, well done, see you later’.”
He then reportedly pointed at a woman in the audience and said: “She’s gagging for a rape. We’ll have a chat afterwards. Do you want to come backstage after? Bring two of your mates, you’ll need them.”
Then, last month, he was asked in a Twitter Q&A: “Would you rather f**k your own mum or Cheryl Cole if she’d been dead for ten minutes?”
He answer: “Let’s face it, I’d f**k Cheryl Cole if she’d been dead a year.”
Good luck, everyone.
There’s a ruddy big storm coming in relation to his potential appearance in the house, we can feel it in our bones. Send help.
