EastEnders’ Bobby Beale: American Teen With Same Name Receives Twitter Abuse Over Lucy Beale Murder

ICYMI, the nation tuned in to EastEnders last night to watch as cute Bobby Beale was revealed as the culprit behind Lucy Beale’s murder (it’s only taken ten whole months but y’know).

Whilst Bobby was receiving well-deserved praise for his fantastic acting job, another Bobbie Beale out in America was being hounded on Twitter because everyone seemingly forgot that EastEnders is FICTIONAL and that she’s actually not related to the child killer.

Seriously, can everyone calm down please? It’s NOT REAL LIFE. Amazing yes, but probably a touch scary for poor American Bobbie.

Bobbie, who actually spells her name differently to EastEnders’ Bobby Beale by the way, obviously had no idea what the heck was going on when a tonne of English soap enthusiasts started sending her a load of abuse over her supposed killing of Lucy Beale.

It didn’t help that the unsuspecting californian actually has a dog called Lucy too. LUCY IS HER DOG.

Must be pretty ruddy confusing when someone suggests you’ve killed your dog, really.

After tweets like these flooding her timeline, Bobbie sent tweets out herself revealing her confusion over the whole situation.

She firstly wrote: “Why are 3 people from Scotland that I don’t know, tweeting me about killing someone named Lucy…” before adding: “I’m scared for my life about my last tweet.”

Thanks to some quick research, Bobbie realised that it was all a fictional murder and posted a stunning selfie, jokingly writing “#IdidntKillLucy.”

She later wrote: “Making the best out of the situation by posting a selfie,” finished with the classic dancing lady wearing red emoji.

You know the one.

She told BuzzFeed News: “I was definitely confused.

“I saw the BBC tweet it, and then I realised. I looked up the show and I thought, Oh, this makes sense now, but at first I was really confused because I thought it was a real-life thing and I thought Bobby Beale killed someone and I was like, ‘It’s not me.’”

Poor girl!

Luckily, not everyone was so quick to tweet Bobbie with abuse, with one tweeter writing: “dude how did she kill someone if she lives in California? I think she would be in jail and not tweeting,” adding the crying laughing emoji at the end, naturally.
