EastEnders Live Mistake: Jo Joyner Refuses To Watch ‘How’s Adam’ Gaffe, She’s Too Embarrassed

We might have all re-watched Jo Joyner fluff her lives during EastEnders live week around about 3,000 times, but Jo herself is refusing to watch the hilarious mistake because she is too ruddy embarrassed.

We mean, we can’t blame her but she is really missing out on some A+ hilarity with that one.

Speaking at the Tesco Mum Of The Year Awards, Jo, who plays Tanya Branning in the BBC soap, shared: “It was a bad moment for me. But I’ve learnt I’ve got such great Twitter followers, such great support around me, such great friends and family – the cast and crew, everybody was so forgiving.

“I’ve got a great sense of humour, I can see how that’s funny – after I’ve got over it and gone on the next night!

“I haven’t watched it back because I don’t generally watch myself back much anyway unless I really feel like I need to – and I felt like I probably don’t need to, although I probably will do one day.”

The actress caused a Twitter meltdown during EastEnders 30th Anniversary ‘Live Week’ when she accidentally referred to character Ian Beale by the actor’s name, Adam.

Speaking to character Jane Beale, the star simply asked: “How’s Adam?” before giving the best ‘Oh my God, what have I just done??” face that we have ever seen.

Discussing the infamous moment, Jo added: “I don’t need to see that! And people are sending it to me on my feed anyway saying: ‘Look at the face – the face when you say someone’s name wrong!’

“It’s EastEnders’ live anniversary, it’s not going to go away for a while is it?

“Thanks to my mum, I’m quite down to earth about these things. I’ve got a good sense of humour and so have my Twitter followers.

“What they’ve sent me is funny – it’s not been cruel or harsh – I can deal with it.”

Immediately after the episode, a whole load of EastEnders cast and crew took to Twitter to lend their support to their co-star, with Adam Woodyatt himself joking that he was doing “fine, thanks.”

We are just happy to hear that Jo is able to laugh about it, and to be fair to her, it did end up being one of the few jovial things to happen during that seriously depressing and emotional week.

Gah, we miss it already.
