Just because we apparently didn’t fancy the socks and pants off Ed Sheeran enough yet, it’s being reported that he could be about to land a part in game of Thrones alongside pals Maisie Williams and Kit Harrington.
Yep, after already filming a little part in Home & Away AND being a total angel on Sesame Street, Eddy is apparently set to appear on our TV screens in an even bigger role.
We just cannot even.
Proving that he can do anything that he puts his incredibl(y FIT) mind to, the 24-year-old is hankering for a part in the ridiculously popular HBO show after having to turn it down three years ago, when the filming schedule clashed with his tour.
But now, Eddy’s free to purchase a return ticket to Westeros, and he’s going to do everything in his power to get there.
Our fave redhead told The Sun: “There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which could have been cool. But every time they shoot it’s the time I tour in the UK.
“But I’ve got that time off this year, so I’m going to hound them.”
AMAZING. If we can help make this happen in any way possible, please can someone let us know? TA.
If it happens, he’ll be following in the footsteps of Coldplay’s drummer Will Champion and Snow Patrol’s frontman Gary Lightbody, who both had cameos in the show back in 2013.
Sadly, our application to just stand in the back, hold a sword and wave ‘HI’ to our parents as an extra was declined.
But, y’know, if Eddy gets some sort of spare ticket, we’ll happily take it off his hands. Ahem.
Ed’s pal Maisie appears as Arya Stark in the show, and has previously gushed about being his biggest fan.
She even spent the whole of his Glastonbury set on his shoulders. DEDICATION.
Speaking on Ireland’s Late Late Show last October, she admitted: “When I was a bit younger, Game of Thrones wasn’t as big as it was now, he tweeted about the show and said that he was a fan. For me, that was the most amazing thing ever.
“So, I tweeted him and told him that I really like his music. He didn’t reply for a little while as he didn’t see my tweet, but he got back to me a week later, and it was just the most amazing thing ever.
“Since then we’ve kind of tweeted each other. Tonight, I’m finally going to meet him. I’ve spoken to him so much over the last three years and I haven’t actually met him. I’m so nervous and I’m just going to have to play it cool but I’m going to be freaking out inside.”
We reckon it went *pretty* well, then.
Fingers crossed we don’t have to wait TOO long to see Eddy get his sword out. We’ll bring the snacks.
