Ellen DeGeneres, 61, is best known as the humorous host of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that combines celebrity, comedy, human-interest stories and musical guests. In May, the partner of Portia de Rossi, 46, revealed that she had signed for three more years, extending the show through 2022.
However, recent reports suggested that Ellen might be forced to quit the show due to a neck injury. In a September episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” she opened the show by sharing a piece of bad news. Ellen told the viewers about the pain she was feeling on her neck at the time.
Ellen DeGeneres, then, said she went to the chiropractor and was told that everything she was doing is hurting her body. “Most of us are doing things that are bad for our bodies. We’re always looking down at our phones, so we sit too much,” she shared. “We don’t realize, though, how fragile our bodies are,” Ellen added.
Because of this revelation, some publications speculated that Ellen could quit the show due to this health condition. An unnamed source, reportedly, told national Enquirer that she has been complaining about filming four days a week. This, according to the tabloid, hinted that the beloved show might end sooner than expected.
Though it is true that Ellen DeGeneres was experiencing pain due to her neck injury, it should be noted that it does not appear to be anything serious. Fortunately, in a more recent episode, the better half of Portia de Rossi revealed that she is feeling better lately. Also, while it is not impossible for Ellen to quit the show anytime, resigning from her own show because of a sprained neck is somewhat illogical.
Meanwhile, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” host responded to her bashers who slammed her for watching a recent Dallas Cowboys game with former president George W. Bush. She defended her friendship with the politician and encouraged everyone to be kind to one another even if they do not agree on certain things.
“I’m friends with George Bush. In fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have,” Portia de Rossi’s partner explained on Tuesday. “We’re all different and I think that we’ve forgotten that that’s OK that we’re all different,” Ellen DeGeneres added.
