Elton John Angrily Vows To Boycott Dolce And Gabbana After They Slam Gay Adoption

Elton John is absolutely FUMING with Dolce and Gabbana today, and to be fair, we really don’t blame him.

The music icon has vowed to boycott the designers’ prestigious fashion label after the two men, who were a couple for 23 years before they split in 2005, slammed same-sex families.

Erm, not cool guys… Really not cool.

Speaking in an interview for Italy’s Panorama magazine, it all kicked off when Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said: “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.

“No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”

Dolce said that creating children “must be an act of love”, before adding: “You are born to a mother and a father – or at least that’s how it should be.

“I call childen of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteri [for] rent, semen chosen from a catalog…”

Gabbana continued: “The family is not a fad. In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging.”

Obviously the comments rattled a fair few people and Elton refused to sit back in silence.

Taking to his MazSight page, the hitmaker who is father to Zachary, four, and Elijah, two, with husband David Furnish, shared a photo of the designers and captioned it with a very angry rant: “How dare you refer to my beautiful children as “synthetic”.

“And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children.

“Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana”.

Fans have backed the star in the comments section of the picture, with one supporter writing: “Very proud of you Sir @eltonjohn !!!! What is important is that every child must be truly loved by his or her parents (doesn’t matter if it is a gay or a straight couple).

“Too many kids suffer for the background they are living in because there is no love, and it happens mostly in the traditional mom and daddy families. Dolce and gabbana suck.”

A sentiment which a lot of people seem to well and truly agree with.
