We were a little surprised to learn that Frankie Bridge was pregnant with her second child just weeks after those VERY ambitious moves on Strictly Come Dancing.
But it seems that the pop star didn’t even discover that she was expecting until AFTER the show, revealing that she found out the happy news over the festive period.
But despite being ‘over the moon’ about the news, The Saturdays star, 25, has been confined to her bed ever since, battling the same morning sickness as Kate Middleton.
Speaking out about it for the first time, she told OK Magazine: “I discovered I was pregnant over Christmas, right after Parker and I did or shoot for OK.
“I was obviously over the moon, but the sickness is horrific. I haven’t been able to leave my bed for days and doctor’s instructed me to rest and not exercise, so dancing was completely out of the question.”
She added: “I’m hoping that it will pass quickly so I can continue to enjoy my pregnancy and get back to work.”
Wow, she’s blimmin’ dedicated!
The singer’s news was announced on The One Show, before she announced that sadly, she’d no longer be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour. Boo.
It was only recently that Frankie announced that her and her husband were ‘desperate’ for a little brother or sister for their adorable son Parker, so it’s no surprise that the couple are SUPER excited that their dreams are coming true sooner than they thought.
Craig Revel Horwood, the Strictly judge we all love to hate, confirmed the news as he appeared on last night’s One Show, saying: “She’s going to be having a baby!”
The 25-year-old singer then announced the news to her followers on twitter, before releasing a statement, explaining: “Wayne and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting our second baby. It is very early days, but we couldn’t be happier and Parker will make a wonderful big brother.
“Although this is such an incredible time for us as a family, due to health reasons I am sadly unable to go on the Strictly tour as planned. I’m devastated that I’m missing out, as I loved Strictly so much and was so looking forward to joining everyone again in all those fabulous arenas.
“Thanks for the warm messages I’ve already received, they are really appreciated.”
Let’s just hope you’re out of your sickbed soon, Frank.
