Frankie Cocozza was famed for his unruly mop top and scruffy dress sense when he was on The X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother, so imagine our surprise when we saw these pictures of the singer.
Posing for Reveal magazine, Frankie looks unrecognisable in a dapper suit and tie.
We have to say, we rather like the new Frankie.
After becoming the UK’s most hated man last year following his dismissal from the X Factor, there didn’t seem to be a lot Frankie Cocozza could do to change public opinion.
Flash forward to January this year and Frankie had managed to do the unthinkable by placing second in Celebrity Big Brother.
However, following his triumph, Frankie’s close friend Connor Saunders died of a head injury after an incident on a night out, prompting Frankie to go back to his old ways.
He told Reveal magazine: "After he died, I went mental. I blew £28,000 in one month buying bottles upon bottles of booze for my mates."
"Four weeks later my Auntie Toni — who looks after my finances — told me my bank statement was just a list of clubs."
"I’d spent £4,000 a night, and she asked: ‘What are you doing to yourself?’ I realised I’d end up on the dole if I didn’t sort it out."
Frankie then got in contact with his former mentor Gary Barlow who encouraged the singer to change his ways and go back to his first passion, music.
He said: "He [Gary] came round for a cup of tea and told me to focus on the music."
Frankie is now working on finishing off his debut album rather than going out drinking every night but does admit that he hasn’t completely given up on going out.
He admitted: "I’m 19, so of course I’m going to go out and have fun, but I’m more focused now."
Reveal magazine is out today.
