We’ve got some sad news as girlband G.R.L have split and gone their separate ways nine months after the tragic death of Simone Battle.
The super-talented group previously released ‘Lighthouse’ in memory of Simone, who committed suicide last September, and had vowed to stay together after being rocked by the news.
Sadly, Paula Van Oppen, Natasha Slayton, Lauren Bennett and Emmalyn Estrada have now announced their split via their management.
A statement from their labels Kemosabe Records and RCA Records, their manager Larry Rudolph and choreographer Robin Antin said: “Nearly nine months following the tragic death of band member Simone Battle, girl group G.R.L. announces today that they are disbanding.
“We wish them continued success in each of their next creative endeavours.”
Lauren recently took to Twitter to thank fans for staying with them through the ‘tough times’, adding: “love you all, and care never forget.”
