We were thrilled for this TOWIE star when she announced on Christmas Day that she was engaged.
But less than a month after announcing her engagement, Gemma Collins had split from her fiance Rami – and has now claimed that their relationship was so bad it ‘pushed her to a nervous breakdown.’
Gemma, 32, told Now magazine: “He made me feel bad about myself. He’d say I was a ‘fatsie’. If I got dressed up to go out, he’d say: ‘Let me look at you,’ and he’d have this sneer on his face and tell me I should put on jeans and a top…In the mornings he’d be so sorry and I always forgave him. I was a complete fool.”
The TOWIE star went on to reveal that at her lowest point, she felt she was having a breakdown.
Gemma explained: “I honestly think I went through a nervous breakdown. I felt under such pressure. I was comfort eating because I was so unhappy and I didn’t like going out. I ended up puting on about 3 stone.”

She continued: “After one row I just snapped. I told him it was over. He followed me into the bathroom and called me a piece of s**t and said I’d be nothing without him. I just screamed at him to get out. It’s the last I saw of him.”
Gemma also revealed that she should never have agreed to marry Rami after he placed a gigantic engagement ring in her Christmas pudding (not a euphamism,) on Christmas Day.
She said: “I knew I shouldn’t have said yes, but his proposal was so public…When we got engaged, my family didn’t buy me cards, there was no celebration and I didn’t throw a party. I think we all knew it was a big mistake.”
Rami has strongly denied using Gemma and calling her names, but it seems that things are far from civil between the pair.
Gemma announced her engagement to Rami by sharing a photo of her ring and the Christmas pudding alongside the caption: “Very excited to announce that I got engaged yesterday I am very very happy @RamTech_ I love you best Xmas pudding.” [sic]
Gemma soon hit Twitter to accuse Rami of only being with her for the fame and money.
She said: “Be careful girls when man uses you to gain fame and money and then when they can’t get it they turn. I’m usually a smart girl I have been used for months in order for someone to gain fame I saw it in the end. I will survive this and wait for a genuine person that doesn’t want fame and money and to destroy me!” [sic]
Rami, 37, was quick to defend himself, saying: “Weren’t you the one who begged me to go on Towie with you when I refused at first? I don’t know where you’ve got the idea that all I wanted you for was fame, I love you for you. You’re the one who cheat on me last year in Marbella when you was living in my house, i still took you back because I love u. You’ve broken my heart twice now stop lying about me and start telling all these people the truth, you’re a player.” [sic]
