It was sadly confirmed last night that The Foo Fighters would no longer be headlining Glastonbury next weekend following frontman Dave Grohl’s rather unfortunate onstage mishap that saw the rocker badly break his leg.
OUCH.
Since this was announced, the Internet has been going into overdrive trying to guess who could possibly be replacing the iconic band at such short notice, and professional troll, but also rather nifty singer, James Blunt was on hand to cause an actual meltdown.
Taking to his Twitter account, the 41 year old quipped: “Amazed and thrilled to get the call from @GlastoFest to headline in place of @foofighters.
Amazed and thrilled to get the call from @GlastoFest to headline in place of @foofighters. Of course I said yes! #rockon

“Of course I said yes! #rockon”.
Lolz.
Despite obviously being a joke, it didn’t take long for the world of Twitter to go slightly cray cray with the news as people actually took James’ tweet seriously:
Don’t know whether to cry or laugh that Glastonbury have replaced The Foo Fighters with James Blunt ……
