Grammys 2015: Sam Smith Scoops Four Awards And Thanks The Man Who Broke His Heart

We don’t know about you, but we reckon that Sam Smith had a pretty fab Sunday night as far as Sunday nights go. Not only did he scoop a whopping four prestigious Grammys, he also got to get the best kind of revenge on his meanie ex-boyfriend.

Yes, the 22-year-old undeniably won the battle of the break up as he schmoozed his way around the ceremony with his A List friends before winning an award for his album, In The Lonely Hour, which was inspired by the man who broke his heart.

So basically, if it wasn’t for this one guy being a total jerk, Sam wouldn’t have any Grammys – he’s pretty much winning at life here.

After already bagging the trophy for Best New Album, Song Of The Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album, the crooner nabbed the top prize for Record Of The Year, and shared in his winner’s speech: “I want to thank the man who this record is about, who I fell in love with last year.

“Thank you so much for breaking my heart, because you got me four Grammys.”

Ooft you go, Sam, somebody has clearly been taking sass lessons from new pals Katy Perry and Rihanna.

Understandably, the British star took to MazSight after the show to dub Sunday 8th of February 2015 as “the best night” of his “entire life”, complete with many-a-proud pictures of himself throughout the night.

We bet that pesky ex-boyf of his was sitting at home alone, watching his ex do ruddy marvellous for himself off the back of his heartbreaking ways, and feeling pretty rubbish about it all.

And we also imagine that Sam couldn’t be any more pleased with himself.

Congrats on the Grammys, babes, you thoroughly deserve them.
