Like his new album ‘Paula,’ there’s a very good chance this film fell off your radar.
Robin Thicke has made his acting debut in romantic drama ‘Making The Rules’ and it’s quite something.
Co-starring with a consistently worried and pained looking Jamie Pressly (not that we blame her), the ‘Blurred Lines’ singer’s foray into acting doesn’t exactly scream Oscar-worthy performance.
So what is ‘Making The Rules’ all about?
Well, as far as we can make out Robin Thicke is a smug hairdresser who sits in restaurants instead of working, waiting to invite unsuspecting women to his salon.
Jamie Pressly – said unsuspecting woman – is overly cautious of the aforementioned invite because she’s heard whispers that Robin has questionable views on dating and what consensual sex actually means.
But because Robin isn’t a man who likes to hear no, he continues to pursue her - following Jamie to her local Laundromat.
His go-to chat up line is then, of course, employed.
Somehow, perhaps because Jamie likes to see the good in people or she has simply been worn down, Robin manages to bag himself a date.
Despite the disasterous first date, desperate Jamie meets up with Robin once again where he decides to sniff her cheek.
With his usual chat up line exhausted, Robin experiments with a new one.
Filled with rage that his Internet search on the history of Paella hasn’t enaged Jamie in the way he’d hoped, Robin loses his temper.
Jamie then has a Paula Patton moment.
Better luck with your next project, Rob.
