She recently described it as a ‘horrific ordeal’ and a ‘shocking trauma’ but now it seems that Gemma Collins is doing one heck of a backtrack.
Just a couple of weeks since her dramatic departure from the I’m a Celeb jungle, the TOWIE star has now said that she would ‘love’ to go back when she’s in a different ‘head space.’
Yeah, we reckon that ship might have sailed, love.
Slightly changing her tune (completely changing her tune), the 33-year-old said on Wednesday’s This Morning:
“I’d love to go back and do it all again, if I was in the right head space.”
BUT YOU SAID IT WAS THE WORST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE, EVER.
Gemma, who left after just three days, added: “it is enjoyable, but it is also extremely tough.
“It’s enjoyable because you think you can challenge yourself and try something new, but the intensity of being in the jungle, unless you’ve been there, no one could ever imagine what it’s like.”
The reality star continued: “Everything in there is so heightened and a day in there seems like five days.”
After receiving A LOT of backlash from viewers over her decision to leave, Gemma admitted last week that it was the meager food rations that tipped her over the edge.
She said: “All of the coverage was played on the fact that I left because I was starving but I’ll be honest with you, I was starving, I’m a plus size girl.
‘I went from eating everything to 500 calories a day and that did affect me. When I would sit down, the room was spinning. All of my blood sugar levels had dropped.”
But despite throwing the towel in pretty sharpish, Gemma reckons that it was always her dream to go into the jungle.
She said: “I have wanted to go into the jungle for three and a half years – it’s the job I’ve wanted my whole life.”
Going to sign yourself up for next year then, Gems? Yeah, we thought not.
