I’m A Celebrity 2014: Gemma Collins Vows To Quit TV Forever After Jungle Experience

Okay, so her moaning might have been as annoying as having a wasp constantly buzz ’round your ear, but if we’re being honest, TOWIE‘s Gemma Collins really was one of the best I’m A Celebrity campmates.

Naturally, we were gutted, upset and properly disappointed when GC gave up after just 72 short hours in the australian jungle – especially since we definitely lasted longer than that on our Duke of Edinburgh award. Tougher than you’d think that.

Anyway, as traumatic as Gem made her jungle experience out to be, we NEVER saw her deciding to quit the entire world of television because of it. SERIOUSLY.

Could you just not please Gem?

After the 33-year-old admitted than her whole experience was tainted by that huge, horrible fight with ex-boyfriend Alex Moss, she originally mulled over just taking a TV break to get herself back to rights.

But in a shocking turn of events, GC has apparently vowed to give up television FOR GOOD.

Wowsers. Who knew snakes and spiders could have such an effect on a reality TV star?

After reportedly locking herself in her hotel room once she’d left the Oz outback, GC apparently told friends: “I’m going to give up television for good.

“This has been such a massive wake-up call. I had no idea this was going to be so hard.

“I’ve been on a rollercoaster ride for the last three years and it might be time to get off.

“The jungle was torture, but it gave me time to think. I have to completely re-evaluate my life.”

But who else will tell the TOWIE #lads that they ain’t ever gonna get this candy?! SOB.

Although an ITV source revealed that GC’s quitting and the departure of Craig Charles, 50, after his brother tragically passed away, had given the show a “knock,” they insisted that they “will bounce back.”

Weirdly, insiders contradicted this as they admitted the show was basically one big “disaster” after two of the biggest camp personalities left.

We may have noticed if we weren’t too busy staring at Jake Quickenden’s, well, everything. AND WHAT.

The insider added: “Losing Gemma and Craig will throw everything into turmoil.

“Obviously everyone is incredibly understanding about Craig’s decision. But Gemma’s exit is different. She couldn’t hack it and took the easy way out.

“Not only will this potentially affect viewing figures, it will dent phone line revenues. Lots of people would have voted for Gemma to do the Bush Tucker Trials. She could have been another Helen Flanagan and that would have been a major money-spinner.”

Erm, bring back Gillian McKeith perhaps? Just a suggestion.

Besides, this probably won’t bother GC, who’s currently more worried about her mum Joan after a friend admitted she’s been really ill.

The friend explained: “She will head to her mum Joan’s house in Romford. Joan’s been very ill and Gemma has been hugely concerned.”

Get well soon Joan!

They added: “She’s realised what’s important — friends and family, not the glitzy fake world of reality TV.”

HEAR HEAR.

Just, er, please don’t quit TV forever and ever Gemma. It would be much more boring without you.
