A murderer is currently on the loose near the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here camp, prompting the show’s security team to be on high alert.
The ITV1 show’s bosses have told security officials to be on high alert for any suspicious men approaching the site.
Mark Spencer, 37, was murdered after he was bludgeoned to death with a tennis racquet on the back patio of his home in Coomera in the early hours of October 1.
The killer is still on the loose, with locals claiming he is hiding out in a close by rural area, less than an hour from the celebs.
Two weeks ago, detectives released footage of a dark 2008 or 2009 Ford Falcon spotted near Mr Spencer’s home on the night he was killed which they are hunting for along the Gold Coast.
A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity has confirmed that they are doing everything necessary to keep the celebs and crew members safe.
They said: “We have a security team on site. The safety and security of our celebrities and crew is of the utmost importance.”
Meanwhile, 2013 camp mate Amy Willerton hit out at Gemma Collins’ pitifully short three day stint in the jungle.
She told The Mirror: “I think Gemma did what she thought was best for her. I was disappointed.
“I think we all were because the idea of the show is that you do go in and you do push yourself to your limit and you do expose that raw emotion of self and that’s why we love seeing people go through it.
“I think she gave in a little early.
“I don’t think she was ever going to stay that long because I think mentally you could see her heart just wasn’t in it.”
