I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here contestant Kendra Wilkinson has revealed that she contemplated suicide when she was at her lowest point.
The former Playboy bunny opens up about her heartbreaking reaction to discovering that husband Hank Baskett had cheated with a transsexual model in the season finale of her US reality show ‘Kendra On Top’, which is due to air tomorrow in the states.
In the show the 29-year-old shares: “I was at a real low. I even questioned my life.
“If it wasn’t for breastfeeding Alijah, the bond I had with her, I feel like I would have probably ended my life.
“I felt like I’m not even supposed to be here.”
Kendra hasn’t yet publically addressed the affair that she found out about early this year, and her marriage to the American Football star was said to still be a bit on the patchy side, which is partly why she decided to take part in this year’s I’m A Celeb.
Friend of the star, Jessica Hall, shared: “She wanted to do it to prove to herself what a strong person she is, because she has had a tough year.
“She needed the time out.”
The pal added: “I would love to see them [Hank and Kendra] make it work, because I adore both of them and they are terrific together.
“I’m rooting for Hank.”
Not #TeamJake then?
Whilst Kendra has been munching on animals bits and fighting with Edwina Currie, Hank has remained in their US family home to look after their two children, Hank Jr., four, and six-month-old Alijah, but he has appaz been left ‘saddened’ by his estranged wife’s flirty friendship with X Factor reject Jake Quickenden.
However, Hank hasn’t been too far from his wife’s mind while she’s on the show and just last week campmates saw Kendra’s softer side when she broke down in tears during a discussion about their biggest regrets in life.
Kendra initially seemed to be pretty strong about the subject, replying: “The only thing I can really say is not paying attention to severe depression with my husband, I wished to God I had.”
However, things then got a bit much for poor Kendra, as she started to sob whilst trying to describe the situation to the other campmates.
She blubbed: “There is such a thing as depression you know and even a big guy like you [Jake Quickenden], you have to hear people’s cries and I didn’t.
“He came to bed so many times crying and I wasn’t there for him.”
We are just glad that it sounds as though Kendra and Hank are in a much happier place now.
Even if for Ken that place IS the celebrity jungle…
