It’s been a ridiculous TEN WHOLE YEARS since the last ever episode of Friends was aired on TV, and if we’re honest, we’ve basically been hankering for a full-blown reunion ever since.
*Insert always being there for us joke here.*
After ten years of tears, trouble and downright anger at the lack of new episodes, Jennifer Aniston has FINALLY given us a glimmer of reunion-tinged hope for the future on The Graham Norton Show. THIS IS IMPORTANT EVERYONE OKAY?!
We always knew Rachel Green was the best character.
After being relentlessly teased with fake reunion posters ever since the show ended, Jen, 45, finally succumbed to the pressure from Graham Norton and gave us the biggest hint to date that there COULD be a comeback at some point in the not-too-distant future.
work HARD AND YOU SHALL BE REWARDED. Or some other metaphor that sums up the world’s hard work at trying to get the Friends cast to appear on our screens one last time.
Talking to Graham about any possible future for Friends, Jen admitted: “At this point I honestly think we should just wait until we are really much older and have Golden Friends. Then you wouldn’t have the comparison.”
OKAY, so it’s not exactly the ‘we’re reuniting in the new year’ news we were hoping for, but it’s a start, right?
And anyway, we’ve been waiting so long for this reunion now that we’ve generally considered dressing up as the cast ourselves and just making our own production. Well, if you want something done properly and all that.
Besides vaguely lifting all our Friends-related hopes and dreams, Jen also appeared on the chat show with her Horrible Bosses co-star Jason Bateman to chat all things HB2, as well as mixing it up with the show’s other guests Olly Murs, Dame Judi Dench and Dustin Hoffman.
Bravo on the bangin’ line-up Graham.
Speaking about playing her sex addict character Dr Julia Harris, Jen revealed that she never really got embarrassed in the role, and there was only one line in the script that she point blank REFUSED to say.
She admitted: “We verbally pushed the envelope, but there was one punch line I refused to say. It involved “gravy” and “an undercarriage” – I didn’t understand it and it sounds wrong!’
You don’t really want to know love. Trust us.
Oh, and before her work was done, she also presented Olly Murs with a Rear of the Year Award, which we can only assume is his top career highlight tbh.
Now, should we call the five other Friends or will you Jen?
