Jennifer Lawrence has had a pretty tough year with the whole fame business hasn’t she?
Just without all the actual killing, obvs.
Never one to sugar-coat her words (and that’s why we love her), 24-year-old J-Law has spoken out against all those pesky paps that follow her around, highlighting the price of fame.
Speaking to The Mirror about the day she helped a friend casually buy a French bulldog, she explained that her and the seller were originally getting on well.
She went on to explain: “But I didn’t realise he was taking pictures of me with his phone which he later sold online.
“I don’t want to have to question every person that comes into my life but at the same time I have reason to.
“I don’t want to change but people need to stop being such a**holes.”
We reckon that could be our motto for general life, but that’s just us really.
She added: “I have perspective because I didn’t grow up in this business. I’m not from Hollywood. I’m from Kentucky.
“I didn’t become successful until a few years ago and I’m very aware of what the real world is and how much a couch costs.”

She also spoke about how “humour” has helped her get through struggles in the industry, revealing: “My dad taught me always to laugh at myself. I guess I can have an intellectual conversation for five minutes, but then I want to get back to laughing.”
Of course, J-Law was targeted in the sickening ‘fappening’ scandal not so long ago, which forced her to boycott social media altogether (bravo). But it’s not just the internet that terrifies her – it’s fame itself sometimes.
She spoke about her quick turn around of fame the day the first Hunger games film came out (ahh, we remember it well), explaining that one minute she was your average joe, and the next “25 paparazzi” were following her.
She explained: “I was really terrified and I went home and locked myself in the house. Then my doorbell rang and all of my friends were there with wine and vodka and the things I needed.
“But I have nightmares all the time that I’m walking through a mall and people start surrounding me and there’s nowhere I can go.
“So sometimes it’s easier to call one of my friends and ask them to pick up some bananas for me.
“But it’s important to stay grounded, so I don’t know. I’m figuring it out. Or trying to.”
We think you’re doing a sterling job.
Just NEVER CHANGE please. We love you just the way you are, the way you are.
