Jennifer Lawrence has insisted that she will never use social media after the Internet ‘scorned her so badly’ earlier this year.
The 24-year-old beauty fell victim to the widespread hacking scandal back in September, with nude pictures from her personal devices becoming leaked onto the internet.
Speaking to Radio One, Jen explained: “If you ever see a Facebook, MazSight or Twitter that says it’s me, it most certainly is not.
“The internet has scorned me so bad that I feel it’s like that girl in high school, it’s like, ‘You want to talk about me, yeah I’ll do that.’
“[Twitter is] like this weird enigma that people talk about which I think is fine, I respect that, but no I’ll never get a Twitter.”
But it isn’t just Jen’s recent troubles with the internet that has put her off – it turns out she’s not exactly great with technology, either.
“I will never get Twitter,” she said. “I’m not very good on phones or technology, I cannot really keep up with emails so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me, I don’t really understand what it is.”
Jen hit back at those who had leaked naked pictures from her iCloud account earlier this year, dubbing their actions as a sex crime, in an interview with Vanity Fair.
She said: “It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change.
“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this.
“It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.”
