Jessie J has been forced to cancel the remaining three dates of her australian tour.
The 26-year-old singer was due to play scheduled shows in Melbourne (March 17), Adelaide (March 18) and Perth (March 20) but will no longer be taking to the stage.
In a statement, Jessie explained: “Due to sudden illness I have unfortunately been medically advised to cancel my three remaining shows in Australia, so I can give myself time to rest and get better.
“I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause my fans in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
“If I could magic myself better and be there I would. I can’t wait to perform for you all in the future. Thank you for your support.”
The singer has previously spoken out about her past health conditions, suffering from a mild stroke when she was just 18.
“I lost feeling in my right arm and I was like ‘this doesn’t feel right,’” she explained to Page Six.
“Tingles, shooting pains – my face started to go numb on my right side and I called my dad and my dad was like ‘you need to go to hospital, something’s wrong.’
“I prayed a lot and didn’t let it get me so I just was like ‘this is a test that I’ve been given as a person and it hasn’t killed me so it can only make me stronger.”
Jessie’s next tour date will be on April 29 at New York’s Webster Hall.
