What a champ.
We all hate it when we fork out for a ticket to our fave celeb’s tour and the cheeky so-and-so’s can’t even be bothered to turn up on time.
Well, when Jimmy Carr had a legit reason for his TWO HOUR delay getting to a venue, he made up for it in tremendous fashion.
The comic was due to perform his stand up routine in Blackburn on Friday when his train ran into some serious delays.
Ugh, we’ve all been there Jimbo.
The 42-year-old took to Twitter to apologise to his thousands of waiting fans with a series of tweets, explaining: “Train broken down on the way to Blackburn. But the show must go on. Sure hope I’m funny when I get there.
“I’m on my way. Show in Blackburn will start at 9.30pm. Sorry for the inconvenience. #ShowMustGoOn.”
Clearly feeling awful Jimmy then added: “Sorry for the delay Blackburn – hope I’m not spoiling your Friday night. Have a drink on me while you wait. See you around 9.30pm.

“Never been this late for a show. Knowing my audience and knowing Blackburn there’s gonna be a fair bit of heckling. Can’t wait… But had to and now the taxi’s gone the wrong way.
“I’m on my way – but will anyone still be there? So sorry Blackburn.”
According to The Sun Jimmy proved that he was a man of his word and the patient audience racked up a £4,000 bar tab for him to pay off when he got there.
Probably won’t even remember Jimmy Carr by the time he gets here. The free drinks are appreciated though! pic.twitter.com/WDmZ7TMYgy

One fan even took to Twitter to share a photo of his three drinks alongside the caption: “Probably won’t even remember Jimmy Carr by the time he gets here. The free drinks are appreciated though!”
Thankfully, the show definitely did go on, with Jimmy also taking to Twitter after the gig to apologise YET. AGAIN.
They’re over it Jim, they’ve forgiven you.
Blackburn thank you for your patience, it was a late night but what a fun gig. I’m not sure I was worth the wait but you were worth the trip

Anyways, he wrote: “Blackburn thank you for your patience, it was a late night but what a fun gig. I’m not sure I was worth the wait but you were worth the trip.”
N’aw, what a charmer.
And we’re glad that it’s not just us mere mortals who have to deal with the ever-constant joys of public transport…
