Judy Murray Reacts To Andy Murray’s Engagement News: ‘Just An Average Day Really’

We bet she could practically BURST from the excitement.

But tennis coach turned star of surprise Strictly Come Dancing, Judy Murray, is remaining coy about her son Andy Murray’s engagement news.

The 55-year-old was positively inundated with well-wishing tweets from fans of the famous, sporty family but sticking to her notoriously private roots Judy simply tweeted: “Just your average day really…”

OH COME ON, JUDE; shout from the rooftops about how you are buying a hat and going to have tiny Andy-shaped grandchildren and that it’s been NINE RUDDY YEARS coming.

You seriously don’t need to play it cool for us.

Wimbledon champ Andy finally popped the question to long-term girlfriend Kim Sears after absolutely YEARS of speculation.

Sadly there was no Benedict-Cumberbatch-esque newspaper in ad for these lovebirds, which was more than a tad disappointing but we are willing to let that one slide this time.

According to reports, the 27-year-old popped the question with a HUGE diamond ring last week and obviously Kim immediately said yes.

Andy is a pretty private person, so it comes as no surprise that the two were hoping to keep the engagement secret for a little while longer but the cat is out of the bag we’re afraid.

A source told Mirror Online: “Andy spent ages thinking about the ring, he chose the design himself and picked it up last week. He then proposed on Wednesday.

“Kim said ‘yes’ immediately. They are completely besotted with each other and have been there for each other through thick and thin.

“They are just going to enjoy themselves before they start planning their big day.”

We just hope that Judy is going to give the happy couple some tips for their first dance.

Now THAT would be pretty amazing.
