Ahh Kanye West – we don’t know whether this is adorable, delusional, or perhaps a bit of both.
One of the more amusing things that happened this week was north West‘s EPIC diva-tantrum on the front row of dad Kanye West’s Adidas fashion show. You know, the one where Anna Wintour is giving Kim Kardashian a death stare because she’s unable to control her child?
Yes, hilarious for everyone (bar Kim) to witness.
But what on earth was up with the poor little lamb? Trapped wind? Missing out on her Peppa Pig marathon that afternoon? Well, when grilled by those trendy so-and-so’s over at i-D Magazine as to why his daughter was having such a hissy-fit, Kanye offered this ‘interesting’ explanation – and guess what, it was all about him!
The popstar and sometime fashion designer said: “Maybe she was just scared for her daddy.”
“She just wanted people to stop being mean to her daddy. Because she knows that her daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place.”
Hmm. Maybe Kanye, maybe. Maybe when our godson is screaming the place down in Pret a Manger, it’s actually because he doesn’t know how to articulate his anxieties about the potential for a Greek exit from the Eurozone, right?
Kanye also offered up an explanation for his dismissive remarks about Beck at the Grammys last weekend, and in usual artsy-fartsy Yeezy speak, we struggled to understand where he was going with it all:
“I feel good. I feel like a human being. I feel like a man,” he added. “A man can make mistakes, a man can have an opinion. A man can be hypocritical.”
“I feel like I have blood in my veins. That my blood hasn’t been turned cold by the concept of celebrity, or missed opportunities or perception.”
