Armenia has been hit with a severe case of Kardashian fever thanks to the family‘s visit this month, and things hit a new level of excitement last night after Kanye West decided to take to a lake for an impromptu performance.
As you do, of course.
Kanye dived into Swan Lake (Karapi Lich) in Yerevan last night to perform an incredible short set for his adoring fans, before the police and national Guard quickly shut things down.
The 37-year-old gave fans a night to remember as he worked his way through a surprise set, which included ‘Touch the Sky’, ‘Stronger’, ‘All of the Lights’, ‘Jesus Walks’, and ‘Power’.
The most exciting moment, however, came when Yeezus decided to launch himself into the middle of the lake for ‘Good Life’, so that fans on the other side of the water could actually see him.
Errr, we’re not sure mixing a microphone and a lake was the best idea in the world, Kanye, but okay.
He was followed by a tonne of fans who wanted to join in the fun and dance around in a lake.
A bit like a reinvention of actual Swan Lake, just with more moshing and less ballet techniques.
Despite Kanye’s fans having a ridiculously amount of fun with the rapper, it’s reported that police quickly intervened and shut down his show after things got a little too hectic during ‘Good Life’.
Sharing the above photo, she wrote: “What a crazy night! Kanye wakes me up & says he’s doing a free concert in Yerevan, Armenia! I throw on sweats & we head out! Thousands of people were there! Kanye jumped in swan lake to be closer to the crowd on the other side & so many people jumped in too!
“It was such an exciting crazy night! So happy I got to rock out with everyone in Armenia on our last night here!!!! #EpicNight#ArmenianPride.”
Kris Jenner later shared the same photo, writing: “Oh yes he did!!!!!!!! While performing his song #Goodlife at his spontaneous concert in Armenia #kanyewest jumped in the water!!! #lovethisboy#Yeezus#proudmama#dontgetyouryeezyswet.”
#Dontgetyouryeezyswet is probably our favourite hashtag of all time ever.
Kim also tweeted about her #EpicNight, encouraging Armenian fans to pop along and watch her hubby do his thang.
Hopefully in their hasty rush to leave, she remembered to pick him up a towel and some dry clothes. He might catch a cold.
3,000 screaming fans reportedly turned up to the big event, although we’re not sure quite how many ended up in the lake.
A LOT, by our estimations.
And if you’re totally gutted that you weren’t there, don’t worry. The MailOnline is reporting that one fan is already selling water from the lake online for profit. Although how you know it’s from the actual lake and not just from their tap we have no idea.
This concert was a totally Kanye move, and we have to admit it did look pretty cool.
Now, where can we find this water…
