Does your baby need a Kardashian Kids flared skirt in faux leather with attached diaper cover for $22.99? The Babies R Us description online says that “no girl’s wardrobe is complete” without it. But if Amie Logan, a mom from Roeland Park, Kansas, has her way, Babies R Us will pull the Kardashian Kids line from is stores completely, and she’s started a Change.org petition to make sure it will happen. Since March, Babies R Us has carried Kardashian Kids, a line of clothes for girls up to 2 years old. The line is a collaboration between Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Juni Corp.
“I don’t want my child to grow up to be a Sex Tape star,” Logan wrote, referring to the purportedly leaked sex tape featuring Kim Kardashian that launched her reality TV career. “You pulled the Breaking Bad toys because they promoted Drug use. You should pull this clothing line because it promotes bad behavior as well. The madness has to stop. If the toys are damaging so is the clothing.”
Logan is referring to the line of “Breaking Bad” novelty action figures for adults that Toys R Us, the mega-toystore franchise connected to Babies R Us, removed from the kids’ store after receiving complaints that it was inappropriate to sell toys based on meth-cooking drug dealers.
“Kids should not be dressed like prostitutes (aka: prosti-tots),” wrote one petition supporter from chicago. Another supporter from Kansas City, Missouri, was a little more measured: “Maybe we should focus on Healthy family values at home and stop idolizing these people,” she wrote. “I think that we would be in a lot healthier world.”
The Kardashian Kids line also features faux-leather leggings for babies and toddlers, along with animal-print bibs and faux fur vest jackets.
