Bruce Jenner‘s interview with Diane Sawyer aired last night, and after the former Olympian officially came out as transgender, the Twittersphere erupted with messages of support for the head of the Kardashian-Jenner clan – with the loudest cheers coming from his famous family.
Bruce’s ex-wife, Kris, joined her children in calling Bruce a ‘hero’, gushing praise and sending oodles of love.
Honestly, it’s all rather emotional.
Kris, who according to Bruce had been aware for some time of his transgender identity, said on Twitter that “Not only was I able to call him my husband for 25 years and father of my children, I am now able to call him my hero” – proving that despite their divorce they’re still clearly the very best of friends.
But when professional motor-mouth Perez Hilton alleged otherwise, Kris got VERY aggy (understandably) – “f*** you Perez no one asked me to comment ….and I’m sitting with Bruce now watching this show so let’s keep it real…LOL.”
Bruce revealed that step-daughter Khloe had had the ‘toughest time’ dealing with Bruce’s transition, but yesterday she joined her sisters and brother in wishing him well, tweeting “Just finished watching the #BruceJennerInterview with the family. Bruzer, I’m soooo proud of you! Dads really are heros”.
She also reminded us that Bruce as a person was more than just this story:
Kim, who helped embrace Bruce’s true identity with the encouragement of her husband Kanye, took to MazSight to tweet these mega cute selfies of her with her step-dad.
And Bruce’s sons Brody and Brandon shared these heart-warming throwback pics of themselves with their father.
HONESTLY YOU GUYS WE’RE FINE IT’S JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING IN OUR EYE.
