It would seem that having one too many controversial opinions is finally working against Katie Hopkins after her plans to become the next big chat show host have been thwarted – due to lack of interest.
The 40-year-old columnist was initially reported to be working on a chat show format with channel TLC, but when show bosses went on the hunt for celebrity guests, no one signed up.
That’s not at all embarrassing…
A source told The Mirror: “They can’t find anyone who wants to go on it.
“She is too controversial, too nasty. The bottom line is, no one likes her. Why would you want to go and speak to her?”
Katie’s controversial documentary ‘My Fat Story,’ where she gained and lost 3.5 stone to prove that overweight people are lazy, was a big hit for TLC last year.
The Celebrity Big Brother runner-up found herself in very hot water recently following her badly timed controversial comments on migrants.
In her column in The Sun, she called migrants fleeing war zones such as Libya ‘feral humans’, saying: “Some of our towns are festering sores, plagued by swarms of migrants and asylum seekers, shelling out benefits like Monopoly money.”
She added: “Make no mistake, these migrants are like cockroaches. They might look a bit ‘Bob Geldof’s Ethiopia circa 1984′, but they are built to survive a nuclear bomb. They are survivors.
“What we need are gunships sending these boats back to their own country.”
The comments led to petition to out her from the paper along with editor David Dinsmore.
Katie, who is usually very active on social media, has failed to tweet since April 19.
